Brooks Internet Software IPDS-to-Windows software: ExcelliPrint Standard. This low-cost version is designed for print environments where administrators only need to redirect IPDS print jobs to PCL printers, whereas the Premium line provides file archiving functionality (e.g. IPDS to PDF, TIF, and others) and browser-based iSeries device and spool file management. ExcelliPrint Standard targets budget-conscious administrators with basic passthrough IPDS printing needs, and at just $495 per output destination, Standard is an affordable, flexible replacement for hardware IPDS DIMMs and SIMMs. ExcelliPrint Standard is a software IPDS solution that allows management of multiple Windows printers from a central interface, eliminating the need to deal with different IPDS DIMMs on many printers. Since ExcelliPrint can be updated (when necessary) on a central server or PC, a single change instantly affects all printers in use. Unlike hardware solutions, ExcelliPrint Standard can print to any Windows-based PCL printer regardless of the manufacturer or model. So when an old printer is replaced or a new model or brand is added, printer-independent ExcelliPrint is always compatible: there is no need to update the software or look for a replacement DIMM or SIMM. Both ExcelliPrint Standard and Premium eliminate the need for specialized, expensive IPDS printers by allowing IPDS print jobs to be printed on common Windows-based printers. Using ExcelliPrint in IPDS print environments lowers costs and maintenance. ExcelliPrint Premium goes further by providing an iSeries interface and can transform IPDS documents into archival formats, like PDF and TIFF. With Premium, IPDS documents can be printed to any Windows-based printer, including dot matrix printers, whereas Standard prints only to printers supporting PCL.

Description:
The RPM Print Server receives files from a Host System (AS400, iSeries/zSeries, UNIX, Windows, or any host) via TCPIP protocol. Once received, RPM performs the user?s pre-defined transforms. Once the transforms have completed, RPM can email the print file, save to disk, print raw, and much more. The new RPM Print Server software includes native print file to PDF. Now you can send your mainframe print file directly to your Windows system and automatically create a PDF, then archive it within a folder or email it to one or many recipients. RPM expands printing capabilities by giving users more control, formatting options, and file management advantages over traditional network server printing. RPM allows users to customize and control processing of print jobs received on a TCP/IP network from hosts such as mainframes, AS/400s, UNIX and Linux, and other Windows platforms. RPM fully supports SCS formatting instructions. RPM has easy Print to File (write to disk) options. RPM offers many TCP/IP Printing features not normally found with Host over IP printing situations. Features include: SCS to ASCII translation and EBCDIC to ASCII translation, Remove PCL codes and convert LF to CRLF, ASA carriage control and code page support, the ability to insert and append bytes, Character translations and extensive form printing controls. Easy configuration for fitting text output to any size paper. Support all fonts the printer can use. A variety of host data formats enable end-users to print without host system modifications. Automatically create a print queue when a job is received, reducing network administration time by eliminating the need to search for misnamed queues. Provides Multiple-Byte Character Sets (MBCS) for use in international languages such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
